New England tied their longest winning run from the Brady era as they defeated division opponents the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout Henderson shone brightly with three touchdowns as the Patriots secured an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since legendary quarterback Brady's final season with the franchise in 2019

QB Maye threw for 281 passing yards and a TD, completing 25 of 34 passes

The triumph increases the New England's advantage at the top of the AFC East as they advanced to nine victories against two losses, with the Jets bottom after falling to a 2-8 mark

The visitors had scored first at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Justin Fields scoring a five-yard TD to cap the New York's initial series

But the home team answered in the second quarter as Henderson scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the running back grabbed a reception from Maye at the back of the endzone in the middle of the third period to make it 21 to 7

"That was a key occasion for him delivering, and it's been excellent for him to keep earning playing time," the quarterback commented on Henderson. "He wants to be excellent."

Justin Fields found Metchie toward the end of the third period to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Andy Borregales kicked a pair of field goals in the final period as the home side closed out the win
