Explore 29 Latest Cards from Magic: The Gathering's TMNT Expansion (Including a Commander-Style Deck!)

Everyone's beloved pizza-loving heroes are making their way to the popular trading card game. The popular trading card game's company, Wizards of the Coast, unveiled a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a special panel held at New York Comic Con. Is this a radical addition or simply another crossover cash grab? We'll let you be the judge.

Check out below at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, along with some useful context. All items listed below launches on March 6, 2026, except for one item — a special Pizza Bundle arrives a couple of weeks after on March 27th.

MTG x TMNT: Main Set Cards

Before diving into all the various special decks and bundles available, we’ll examine at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set that were revealed by Wizards. Standard booster packs for the expansion are set at $6.99 each, while Collector Boosters should run $37.99 per pack.

Let’s explore a few shell-shocking features. First, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak, inspired by the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, in which players can cheat big creatures onto the game field whenever an attacking creature isn’t blocked. The big difference here is that Sneak can affect spells that aren’t creatures as well. Wizards also used this chance to clean up the ability a bit (It is treated as casting, unlike the older mechanic). The original ability isn't going away, but it's more likely players will encounter Sneak in upcoming expansions from now on.

“If we ever were to return to the Kamigawa plane, it’s possible we’d use the original ability because that's where it was developed and it is iconic of that world,” an experienced game designer stated. “But on other planes, because the mechanics are smoother and Sneak will be in standard, it’s probable that we'd use Sneak.”

That second variant of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai card, is among four special cards with special art created specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original artist the co-creator.

Oh, and, if you're shocked by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which allows playing game cards outside of your main deck, so was I. But according to the developers, it’s now a official card in every format of Magic.

In any case, below are the extremely bizarre land cards with full art from the TMNT set:

Following the company’s current policy, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard play. Developers state they took care to make sure the new cards and mechanics meshed well with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.

“I led the development for over a year and we knew it was going to be in standard and what other sets were going to be alongside it in Standard,” a lead designer commented. “We designed to ensure that they work well with some of those sets like Edge of Eternities.”

For example, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red archetype focused on artifact cards.

“They combine to provide the pieces for a fun Standard deck,” the designer says.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power

Following a decision to design any Commander precons for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, the company is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it includes six distinct legendary creatures who could work as your Commander based on how you pair them (five cards have a special partner ability called “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command area rather than only one). Check them out for yourself:

This Commander precon is priced at $69.99, though that could easily go up based on popularity. Sources told that it contains 43 new cards in total, which translates to an additional 37 Turtle-themed game cards besides the six legendary commanders shown above. (Calculating roughly, this suggests approximately 20 reprints if we assume the deck comes with 37 land cards.)

What will the Turtles edition of the iconic Sol Ring look like? Fans must wait and find out.

TMNT Bundle (Standard Edition)

Typically, the company is offering a collection. It costs $69.99 and includes the following:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • Fifteen Traditional foil land cards
  • 15 Regular basic lands
  • 2 Reference cards
  • One Foil promotional card
  • One Large life tracker
  • One storage box

Pizza Bundle

This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, primarily because it comes in a box resembling a pizza box. Every pizza-themed bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the items below:

  • Nine Play Boosters
  • One Collector Booster
  • 25 Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • 5 Traditional foil pizza-themed lands
  • 2 Traditional foil Pizza Bundle promotional cards
  • 2 helper cards
  • One Oversized life tracker
  • One storage box

If you’re wondering what a “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s essentially a reprinted older card with all-new Turtle-themed artwork. The team showed an example for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter adding toppings onto a pizza. In total, there are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards in total.

This special bundle releases a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This special bundle is made for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. That will get you:

  • Twelve Standard Boosters (ideal for a group of four to draft)
  • 1 Collector Booster (aka, the reward for coming in first)
  • 90 Regular land cards (for building your draft deck)
  • 10 Regular double-sided tokens
  • 1 Draft insert (a single-page guide to drafting this expansion)

Cooperative Play Set

Lastly, Wizards are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its continued initiative to develop Magic products aimed at beginners. In this case, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that let you and a friend join forces against a “Boss” deck that pilots itself.

The concept here that every Boss card grants unique powers to the creatures included in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically casts an additional card per turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
